The Tugela region isn’t only about Nkandla and our current State President.
The Tugela Valley is especially beautiful and a day drive from Durban via Eshowe, Nkandla, Jameson’s Drift, Middle drift, Kranskop and back, is well worth the effort.
Along the route are majestic views, pristine forests, hot springs, rural scenes and great drives. This part of the world featured strongly in the KZN conflicts and was the scene for one columns invasion of Zululand in 1879 and the Bambatha Rebellion of 1906.
